We Know What We Have To Do
Wake me for the revolution,
when people are ready
to fight with me.
I'm tired of knowing
alone. Of the two of us
being the only ones
who get it.
That America is not
a good place to live.
That no one should
want it to be on top of the world.
I'm afraid I can't wait
for things to get better.
I cannot vote for these people.
I cannot keep pretending
Democracy is real and good.
We have failed.
We are hungry.
We are empty.
And we must fight.
